【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthecompositionandphysicalpropertiesofexpandedorexfoliatedvermiculiteloosefillinsulation.Thespecificationalsoincludesthetestingproceduresbywhichtheacceptabilityofthematerialmaybedetermined.Thesetestingproceduresdealprimarilywithmaterialperformanceinthetemperaturerangeassociatedwiththethermalenvelopeofbuildings;however,thecommerciallyusabletemperaturerangeforthisinsulationisfrom-119to850176;F(-84to454176;C).Forspecializedapplications,refertomanufacturer'sinstructions.1.2Thespecificationalsocoversthecompositionandpropertiesofvermiculitethathasbeensurface-treatedtoproducewaterrepellencyforinstallationswhereliquidmoisturemaybeafactor.1.3Whentheinstallationoruseofthermalinsulationmaterials,accessories,andsystemsmayposesafetyorhealthproblems,themanufacturershallprovidetheuserwithappropriatecurrentinformationregardinganyknownproblemsassociatedwiththerecommendeduseofthecompany'sproducts,andshallalsorecommendprotectivemeasurestobeemployedintheirsafeutilization.1.4Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection12.
