【摘要】:ThisPASappliestocommerciallyavailableliquidcrystaldisplays(LCDs).ThisPASappliestoallLCDtypes,includingtransmissive,reflectiveortransflectiveLCDmodulesusingeithersegment,passiveoractivematrixandachromaticorcolour-typeLCDsthatareequippedwiththeirownintegratedsourceofilluminationorwithouttheirownsourceofillumination.TheobjectofthisPASistoestablishuniformrequirementsforaccurateandreliablemeasurementsofthefollowingLCDparameters,asdefinedherein:a)quasistaticstrength;b)quasistaticfatigue.ThemethodsdescribedinthisPASapplytoallsizes,smallandlarge,ofLCDs.MethodsformeasuringthefatigueconstantaredescribedinthisPASandaretakenfromthereferencedliterature[13-20].Theprimaryresultsareformulaeforestimatedallowablestressforthespecifiedlifetimeorestimatedfailurerateforthespecifiedstresslevel.Bywayofanexample,limiteddataforstrengthandfatiguebehaviourofLCDglassareincludedinaninformativeannextothisPAS.Similarly,limiteddataforthestaticstrengthofLCDmodulesisalsoincludedandcomparedwiththatofparentglass.
